Two School of Engineering students receive Tau Beta Pi scholarships

  

Two seniors in the School of Engineering have been selected to receive scholarships from the engineering honor society Tau Beta Pi.

Mia Baca, a student in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, and Moises Loya, a student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, are among 253 engineering students from 1,328 applicants nationwide to receive scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year.

UNM student collaborates on art project with local elementary school, City of Albuquerque

  

Art student Angel Estrada from The University of New Mexico is working with children at a local elementary school on a project that will eventually enliven and beautify the streets of Albuquerque. He will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in Arts Education.

University Libraries presents 2024 Willard Lecture

  

University Libraries presents the 2024 Willard Lecture, Borders and Other Imagined Spaces: How Maps Define Understanding. The panel presentation will take place on September 19 from 4 - 5:30 p.m. in the historic West Wing of Zimmerman Library. Light refreshments will be served.
