UNM Taos HIVE

UNM Taos HIVE is a community-centered hub focused on expanding opportunities through education, entrepreneurship, engagement, and workforce development in Taos. Its work is grounded in listening to the community, understanding local needs, and developing programs and partnerships that help individuals build skills and pursue new opportunities.

The HIVE supports students, entrepreneurs, small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community members through a range of resources and programming. These efforts include digital skills training, workforce development, educational support, business coaching, and connections to opportunities in areas such as STEM, data analytics, project management, and IT support.

Community partnership is central to the HIVE’s approach. By working alongside local organizations and community members, the HIVE helps create pathways to living-wage employment while supporting people who want to build their careers and livelihoods within their community.

As a network member of the Center on Rural Innovation, UNM Taos HIVE also contributes to broader efforts to strengthen tech-inclusive ecosystems in rural communities. Through these partnerships and its locally driven approach, the HIVE continues to connect people with resources, knowledge, and opportunities that support a thriving Taos community.
