Alish Dogra is a Media Specialist for the Office of Community Engagement at the University of New Mexico. They hold an undergraduate degree in Film and Digital Arts from UNM and are currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration. In their previous marketing role, Alish collaborated with over 50 businesses across New Mexico, developing engaging social media content and brainstorming ideas for events to foster business engagement, promotion, and collaboration. Their creative approach has significantly contributed to enhancing community engagement and business partnerships.

Originally from India, Alish was inspired by Bollywood and always had a passion for filmmaking. Despite a promising career in professional cricket, an injury led them to pivot towards film and digital arts, a field they had been fascinated with since childhood. This background fuels their innovative approach in their current role. As part of their ongoing education, Alish is committed to understanding the workings of government and public administration in the USA through their pursuit of a Master's degree. They have excelled in their studies, maintaining a GPA of 4.0.

Alish aims to leverage their filmmaking skills to advocate for effective policies and strategies that can improve community life. Their goal is to use creativity and storytelling to drive positive change and enhance the quality of life within communities. Alish's work has been instrumental in bringing together various stakeholders to collaborate on initiatives that benefit the broader community. They continue to seek innovative ways to integrate their skills in film and public administration to make a lasting impact.
